I am finally putting up pictures now and no one can stop me! This is a picture of one of our cats. We have two cats, Mardi Gras and Gossamar. This is a picture of Gossie. She is sitting on a super duper sized window quilt I was making for our sliding glass doors. I should make her a little "window quilt" bed. Gossie is part Siamese and mystery cat. Mardi is a torti (and a tart--she'll run to anyone, the more the merrier!).We found both cats at Kitty Corner, a local cat rescue located in Liverpool. You can view their available cats at their website.

Gossie is my husband's cat. We call her his "trophy cat" as she is so pretty yet so high maintenance. She was extremely shy when she came here and would hide and do an awful murderous mewling alternated with a helpless meowing. Luckily we adopted Mardi at the same time and she used to be "roomates" together with Gossie so she would come and try to help calm her. Mardi had no inhibitions thankfully. Mardi belongs to my son, and tolerates all kinds of indignities.
Anyway, Gossie clawed my dh quite often as he was convinced that he could turn her into a lap cat and cuddly teddy bear cat by simply imposing it on her. Gossie had other ideas. It doesn't help that dh is 6'1" and has size 13 feet and tends to stomp around. He's as subtle as a Mack truck.
I was never a big cat person, I grew up with dogs. And because of that I am a cat magnet. Gossie seems to prefer me over anyone and now and again I need to remind her that I can be like a cat too, and choose to sit by myself in the sun.
